Fusion Welding Institute is proud to maintain professional partnerships with both Central Maintenance & Welding (CMW) and M3 Power Group, providing students with direct exposure to the expectations, standards, and opportunities found throughout the heavy industrial welding industry.

Central Maintenance & Welding (CMW)

CMW is a respected ASME code welding contractor specializing in industrial construction and maintenance. As part of our partnership, CMW periodically visits our facility to administer official welder qualification tests to participants who wish to take them.

Welders who successfully pass a CMW-administered qualification test may be added to CMW's internal list of qualified welders and considered for employment opportunities directly through CMW. All testing, qualification, and hiring decisions are managed solely by CMW in accordance with their procedures and quality program.

M3 Power Group

M3 Power Group is a heavy industrial specialty welding contractor performing work for power plants, refineries, Department of Energy facilities, and other critical infrastructure projects throughout the United States.

As Fusion Welding Institute's non-union industry partner, M3 Power Group provides insight into current industry practices, equipment, technologies, and workforce demands. Through this relationship, students gain exposure to the standards and expectations associated with real-world industrial welding projects.

Graduates who demonstrate exceptional performance, professionalism, and commitment may be considered for opportunities with M3 Power Group as staffing needs arise. All employment decisions remain solely at the discretion of M3 Power Group.
